The Instruction of Wisdom

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7 NKJV

The knowledge of the ephemeral things of the world puffs up a man, but a man who has sincerely come into an experiential knowledge of God is humbled by the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of Him. Such a man draws near to God in fear and trembling.

The difference between the wise and the foolish is the fear of God which results from the application of he knowledge of God. The wisdom that is from above is pure, peaceable and gentle. It does not glory in earthly or sensual things. It reverently submits to the majesty of God without any reservation or misgiving.

The fear of the LORD is characterized by the lost of confidence in ones self, strength and ability, and total dependence and trust in Him. However, the position God occupies in your life is based on your perspective about Him, which comes through wisdom. The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom. Do you desire to fear the Lord? Seek wisdom, despise it not.
